Kvikksolvguttene – krieg (1997) (feat. necrobutcher from mayhem)

From Encyclopedia Metallum

The band was formed by ex-Vomit members Kittil “Zathan” Kittilsen and Torben “Helle Mel på de Kristne” Grue, in order to essentially reform their previous band, along with Mayhem‘s bassist Necrobutcher.

The name “Kvikksølvguttene” means “The Mercury/Quicksilver Boys”, it’s a pun on the name of a famous Norwegian Choir, “Sølvguttene” (“The Silverboys”).

Kittil Kittilsen has left the music business, and is now a fundamentalist Christian. Torben Grue is now a professional opera singer, and still plays various instruments in a number of different rock bands.

The “drummer” Det Skal du Drite I does not exist. When a photo shoot was scheduled for the “Krieg” album, Torben (Helle Mel på de Kristne) refused to participate. Instead, a friend who was not part of the band (the editor of Die Hard Mag) was invited to pose for the picture. They wrote “Det Skal du Drite I” underneath his picture in the booklet, so it it appears as if he plays on the album, while he is just a friend who was there when they did the photos. The expression “Det Skal du Drite I” loosely translates to “None of Your Fucking Business”.

Line Up:
